For non-salaried individuals and AOPs, income up to Rs 600,000 is tax-exempt. Above that, rates rise progressively from 15% to 45%, reaching Rs 1,610,000 plus 45% of the amount exceeding Rs 5,600,000 for the highest bracket.
Did business tax rates change for 2026-27?
No. The 2026-27 budget's tax relief was targeted specifically at salaried individuals; business/non-salaried individual and AOP tax slabs remain unchanged from 2025-26.
